“ Stunning car in Metallic Red with Light Oyster leather interior. ”

Surely one of the very best available, with £2k recently spent on Ceramic coating and with a full service history. It's really quite pristine.

Vehicle Story

Starting its life with the C-X16 concept car showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, the production version was released a year later and unusually it looked so similar to the original concept car. Offered first as a convertible, the coupe quickly followed in 2013.

The car was a hit straight off the bat with owners and journalists alike loving the car’s styling and savage power wrapped in a fantastic chassis. The F-Type is now on its way out unfortunately as Jaguar have decided to pull the plug on the sporty two-seater which means buying second hand is an even more appealing option.

The example we have for you here is a fantastic one with very low mileage and a history of love and care from its 2 owners. Add to that it’s the 3.0L supercharged V6 and finished is a stunning Metallic Italian Racing red and it makes for an irresistible proposition.

Vehicle Overview

Currently on its second owner, this F-Type was owned by a business director from new until 2019 where the current owner purchased it as an early retirement present. Since then, it has seen limited use due to being a second vehicle and now selling due to lack of use. It has always been garaged during the current owner’s time with the car and having to play ‘musical cars’ to get the F-Type out of the garage is part of the reason for sale.

The car has been wrapped in cotton wool to quote the seller and from the condition and work done to the car we’d be hard pressed to disagree with him. Only having covered under 2000 miles since 2019, the F-Type is a modern time capsule with little chance to get the same level of wear and tear of a similar age vehicle.

A real stunner from Jaguar kept in wonderful condition by a caring owner for who Jaguar enthusiasm runs in the family. This F-Type is sure to top the list of anyone looking for a fantastic condition, low mileage example and we’re thrilled to offer it here for auction at Bonhams Cars Online.

Exterior

Italian Racing Red Metallic is the colour of choice for this example, if the paint code is to be believed, and it suits the racy lines of the sporty Jag perfectly. Contrasted by those clean silver wheels, it is a handsome combination.

With the car having been garaged all its life and only seeing around 15,800 miles, there is very little, if anything to point out in terms of bodywork flaws. The panels are all clean and straight and there is just the smallest scuff on the front passenger side wheel.

You’d be hard pressed to find any stone chips too, as the owner wanted to have the car ceramic coated, taking the car to the prestigious Chartwell which has full structural approval from the world’s leading supercar manufacturers. Whilst there, the owner was advised the stone chips on the bonnet would need fixing before the ceramic coating and the suggestion of a full bonnet respray was decided upon. The quality of finish really does speak volumes of the skilful work Chartwell can deliver and the car was finished with a ceramic coating to the tune of just over £2000.

Interior

Inside the cabin of the F-type, the interior trim is Jet black matched with a very light grey, believed to be Cirrus grey. The condition all round in the cabin is great, with little wear and tear and the leather and plastic trim all remaining in fantastic condition all round. Usual trouble areas such as the driver’s seat bolster are showing little signs of wear to the leather and the steering wheel remains looking smart, presentable, and purposeful.

All electrics are reported to be working as intended in the cabin including the infotainment screen in the centre console. The stop/start button and flappy paddles behind the steering wheel are paired in a bronze style material which adds a nice touch of colour to the very business focused interior. The boot is in great condition too, with no rips, tears, or discolouration to the carpet. In summary, a very pleasant and comfortable place to be and kept very well by the 2 owners.

Mechanical

This is the F-Type S, meaning you get that heavenly 3.0L supercharged V6 under the bonnet, which was famously the specification that Jeremy Clarkson championed in his initial review upon release of the F-Type.

Under the bonnet, much of the engine is hidden with plastic coverings as is customary in the automotive world these days. Of what we can see, things look to be in good health visually with clean strut tower tops and no signs of fluid leaks. Unsurprising when looking at the service history of the car with routine and regular maintenance upheld even with low mileage.

Underneath the F-Type things look to be in great health too, barely a smattering of road grime and no missing underseal from what we can see. A clean sheet all round then.

History Highlights

The Jag comes with the current V5 showing 1 previous owner, a glowing HPI report, a valid MOT until the 2nd of November this year as well as all the original owner’s manuals in the black leather wallet. Finally, there is the service book which shows 4 services with corresponding stamps, one from 2019 from the dealership the current owner purchased the car from at 11,423 miles, 2021 at 13,589 miles, 2022 at 14,741 miles and one this year at 15,534 miles.

What We Think

The F-Type was received with heaps of positive praise on launch, and it remains a big hit for Jaguar to this day with a second revision to the model name. This example is a very good-looking car in that Italian Racing metallic red, and if you’re in the market for a great condition, low mileage sports car then this will surely do you well sat atop the list.
